How I invested in my business in 2 weeks and you can too

How I invested in my business in 2 weeks and you can tooAre you finding the time to invest in you and your business? This is not including the normal business day to day tasks you are already doing. Plus you want to spend that quality time with your loved ones. One of the main reasons for working for myself is to see more of my kids and not to miss those special moments. So i know it can be difficult to squeeze even more time out of some where to do even more stuff.

However after saying that i’m still going to ask “Is your business the real deal, is your business the one to make your dreams happen?” If you are saying yes then you need to find or make time to invest back into yourself and your business.

Studying too much in a short space of time isn’t a great idea 🙂

Continuous learning keeps you current, wiser to new methods & ideas. These all help you in your plans for now or the near future. I love to learn, and in the past 2 weeks I out done myself.

I’m grinning from ear to ear right now 🙂

I went through 4 courses which were not short and started a challenge, this is not including my weekly book collection loaned from my local library. Actually the one thing I do miss from being at college and university is the structure of the courses. Knowing that I start at the beginning and work through to the end, I will have my outcomes and be able to apply it. An to go deeper, I need to look to learn the next course. The internet is the opposite, excluding courses, usually the first place you check out is the search engines. It then lists a page of websites and that’s where the learning hop begins. Everyone has a different way of teaching or sharing. An that’s not including the information which is different depending on how that person learned it themselves. An this is why i love courses.

The courses that I invested my time in

So the courses I did, fully delivered and I’m looking to repeat one of them because it was so good. Plus the platforms they are run by is quite addictive, so me saying i will not do another course on these sites would be a big fat lie 🙂 These courses are great for you to expand on your marketing, copywriting and social media. However there’s more courses that you can find, be assured you will be spoilt for choice.

You can find the following 2 courses are on Skillshare.com

Context is Key: Social Media Strategy in a Noisy Online World by Gary Vaynerchuk. CEO of Vaynermedia
Copywriting Basics: Time Tested Tactics that prompt Action by Jack Zerby. Founder & Designer of Flavours.us

The copywriting course is the one i will be taking again and have started a challenge which was also part of course. I loved it, I have already started to see its benefit.

You can find the following 2 courses are on Creativelive.com

The Art of Selling what you make by Tara Gentile
Duct Tape Marketing by John Jantsch

The 5 books i loaned from the library are the following:

A tip when getting books don’t always stick to your business industry. Check out books that have titles that entice you. For me i have found some gems of tips from books i didn’t plan of getting out an this is one of those piles. 🙂

So get your cute notebooks & pens at the ready and check out the hundreds of courses on offer.

While we talking about studying, how do you like to  learn, watching, audio or reading or a bit of all 3 ?
