Having an email list is a must as a business owner. You spend most of your time marketing to get new customers. Make your efforts work for you long term, meaning getting these people on your list. So you can remarket to them over and over again. When they join your email list they are silently telling you

“I like what you offer”

“I may not want to buy from you yet but I want you to keep reminding me of your products for when I am ready”

“I know, like and trust your business. I love what you offer and want to stay in touch”

This is also great if you are like me and love to connect with people but don’t like fighting for their attention all the time.

So let me share the 5 reasons why an email list should be on your to-do list

 

– 1 –  You get their full attention

There’s no need to battle to get your content seen, find keywords or hashtags to use. When they open your email it’s just you and them in the conversation.

– 2 – Stay in control

If everywhere else goes down you can still do business. Those who only use social media as their biz home have no biz when Facebook crashes or Instagram messes up or Etsy closes an acc. While you set things up you are still in touch with your audience via your email list.

– 3 – You get to sell to your list

You can make money. This is the biggest takeaway. The money is in the list. You can sell and repeat sales because they like what you offer.

– 4 – Guess what, it’s yours

Yep, it’s your list & you own it. Plus you can grow your email list for free. Then give then value & sell to them. How amazing is that? There are businesses that only sell via their email list and that it. When people say the money’s in the list they are half right.

– 5 – They want to hear from you

You can market your products without feeling guilty or imposing. Being on your list tells you they give you permission to share your biz and some life stuff. Share your sneak peeks, new products coming up. Share your discounts and specials offers. They want to know.
