hope you are still with me. I made a point to keep these posts short. I want you to learn but in a nice relaxed easy way.
Longtail keywords are basically sentences, statements, phrases, questions, etc…
You know statements, specific questions that people are typing into the search facility to look for what they need. With longtail keywords, these are very specific. I know exactly what I am looking for, kind of sentence.
So when it comes to longtail keywords consumers, searchers don’t realise this but when they type in what they are looking for, other people before them have probably already done it. Or they are the first, and yes this is possible, you always need one person to be the first.
They are going to write down or in this case type the exact question, they need an answer to.
The exact statement that they need the product to be.
Everything that “I” the searching person know in my head that I want to find online, I am going to write it all down in the search bar or the search engine.
As they are hoping for the best that, the search results will bring back all the relevant information that’s needed. To help solve the problem, find what they need, and help them move forward.
So a long tail keyword is very specific, let me give you an example:
A standard normal keyword could be “ silver” “necklace” “silver necklace”
As you can see straight away that these words are too broad and general. When put in say Google search they would bring back a whole lot of search results. Would it help? More than likely no, as these keywords are too general.
However, a long-tail keyword could be “silver necklace 16-in elephant charm with diamonds”. Now that’s very specific.
How do you think the search results would fair with that search inquiry?
Yep, that would bring back very specific results, that would help the searcher find a product that closely or maybe even match a “silver necklace 16-in elephant charm with diamonds” product they are looking for.
That’s how longtail keywords can literally change the game for business owners who get what it means to understand and use longtail keywords.
