What caught your attention first from my image. Was it that woman or the vibrant pink smoke surrounding her?
You want people to engage with your content, get value from it. Then with fingers crossed you hope they take action.
But none of this can happen if you don’t capture their attention.
Plus it’s hard. There I said it!
Memory lane:
Remember when we saw loads of ads on TV. We had to view them because we had no choice.
Now we have record TV. We can fast forward pass the ads to get back to the programme. The same thing with online ads, following you, popping up here and there.
But now we have become blind to ads and for those really persistent ones, we have the app Adblocker.
Back to now:
People are competing for your attention right now, is it working?
We need to stand out from the crowd. Another statement always being used. It’s easier said than done.
But how do you actually do that online? It’s not like we’re in a crowded room where you can stand on a chair and shout out “Hey my name is _______, I want to share some info that will help you”.
You have to use your uniqueness in your content like you are standing on that chair and shouting to the room.
Sorry, did you think I was going to say “here’s the what you need to do, with steps.”
Nah it’s not a one’s size fits all solution. Plus I don’t know you to say what you could use to make your content captivating. (If we had a chat maybe..)
