What is Pinterest:

Pinterest, Inc. is an American social media web and mobile application company. It operates a software system designed to enable saving and discovery of information on the World Wide Web using images and, on a smaller scale, GIFs and videos.

The above tells you everything. But let us look at the basics of how Pinterest works.

The fact that you can save to your boards and other people can get to see them.

They then can repin to their own boards.

Thus helping new people see your products.

That they can save & click through to see & even buy, all without you doing extra work is super cool.⁣

That’s what you want to happen to your images. So people who like what they see can click & visit your blog or products.⁣⠀⠀⠀

Pinterest’s style in helping people find, save and buy is just another way to help you in marketing your business. ⠀⠀

The potential is huge especially if one of your pins goes viral or semi viral-like some of my pins have.⁣

Look into sharing your products on Pinterest. Yes you may need to create more images to fit the Pinterest style pins. But that’s a small thing when you look at how many people could potentially view your pin.

Plus think creatively, you can use the images you already have. By simply adding a background colour,  that fits the size of a Pinterest image.

The image size of a pin on Pinterest (said by Pinterest) is: 1000 x 1500 pixels

I personally use for JWGInternational images 735 x 1102 pixels

Note: Make sure the colour of the background you do use makes your image pop of the page.
